We gathered together, GMC Mountainaires and friends new and old, in Wheatland Wyoming to be awestruck together by the Great American Eclipse. Our hosts, Vicki and Steve, went the extra mile to make our experience absolutely fantastic!
Altogether 40+ of us in 17 coaches enjoyed several days of beautiful Wyoming weather, the friendly town of Wheatland, and good times.
We were not sitting around waiting for the sun to go away!
It was easy to lose your ball on the golf course.
We learned how to play “pasture golf”
We began work on the 600+ piece Hysterical Map of Yellowstone from Liberty Puzzles
She learned how to shoot a gun.
These two look like pros taking target practice.
Getting to know new people is a real treat.
The best part was checking out the back of the finished puzzle.
When the evening grew hot, we headed to the shady side.
There was considerable monkeying around, especially during the lemonade hour.
17 18 Coaches, 37 Members, 2 Guests, and three days of great weather and fun times.
It’s hard to imagine a better rally. We gathered on Friday afternoon (some on Thursday!) and kicked it off with a visit from our favorite food truck. We enjoyed a variety of his offerings, along with our sides and desserts. The GMC brought us memories of the Kennedys along with our meal. John said the hardest part was fitting all the curves with stainless steel.
John brought his successful take on a GMC conversion.
Each subsequent day brought more good times and good food.
